Middle school students gave a fabulous presentation this morning, where through song, dance, speeches, and creative human recreation of landmarks and memorials they conveyed what they had learned during the Fall Unit about Washington, DC and America.
Students created their own pottery prior to reading Newberry Award winning novel A Single Shard, a tale set in 12th century Korea about a homeless boy who dreams of being a potter.
Y Group students visited Write Notepads & Co. to learn the process of printing from commercial to small batch. Students printed their own notebook covers from linoleum blocks they had designed.
Dedication and participation in sports and other co-curricular activities earned five middle school students recognition as Paul Rabil Foundation Scholars. Paul’s parents, Jean Anne and Allan Rabil, came to Jemicy to make the presentations.
