    Jemicy School educates talented and bright students with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences by addressing both their intellectual strengths and their learning needs.
  • Founded: 1973

    As one of the first schools in the country to educate students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences, the school has grown into an internationally recognized leader in it’s field.
  • Grades Served: 1-12

    A tradition at the Lower and Middle School, grades are replaced by letters spelling out the name "JEMICY". JE is grades 1-3. M is grade 4. I is grade 5. Star is grade 6 (The star is the dot on the "i"). C is grade 7. Y is grade 8.
  • Enrollment: 450 students

    440 students. Lower School has 80 students, Middle School has 135 students, and Upper School has 225 students, 21 of which are enrolled in Upper School Prep.

    Our teachers know our students. A larger faculty allows for the individualized instruction that unique learners require and the results are undeniable.
  • Class Size: 2-12 Students

    Small classes are a hallmark of a Jemicy education. Beginning with  skills classes of 2-3 students in the lower grades, students gain independence as they move to larger classes in higher grades.

    Tuition assistance is an essential tool for ensuring that Jemicy remains a vibrant community dedicated to educational excellence for all students.The average award per family is $18,800.

    In addition to providing Chromebooks for each student, we provide the latest digital resources and tools to support our unique learners. Dedicated curriculum and expert tech support ensure students are prepared to successfully navigate digital life.

    Offerings at the Upper School include traditional competitive sports (member of the MIAA Conference) as well as options like rock climbing and fencing. The Middle School also has 9 options which include wrestling and martial arts.
