Join filmmaker Harvey Hubbell V and help us close the literacy gap for all students!

Director and dyslexic entrepreneur Harvey Hubbell V will share his most recent documentary, “Hopeville: How to Win the Reading Wars,” that showcases three first-grade classrooms that are doing it right using structured literacy. We learn how we must all work in our lanes to save our nation's illiterate youth and close the gap on reading instruction across the country once and for all.
Being literate is crucial in today's world. Leading experts estimate that 95% of all learners can be taught how to read using the structured literacy methods that specialized schools use for students with dyslexia. However, the current system of reading instruction used by the majority of schools results in only 1/3 of all students learning to read, yet curriculum and instruction in the US continues to ignore the evidence.

Jemicy's Outreach Program is committed to affecting change beyond the confines of our campus, that is why we are reaching out to the broader community in hopes that you will join us for this important opportunity to help close the literacy gap.
